It is a great day for all of us at the Kiki Art team because is our first BLOG HOP. We have many “firstssss”since we have just begun and I hope you have liked what you have seen so far … we will be bringing more to you!!!.
May be another day I will tell you why I have created Kiki Art, but it has a lot to do with helping people and caring about “the other” and because of that our First BLOG HOP aims to create awareness about some of the different organizations around the world that help make this a better place to live. Each team member was asked to feature an organization they liked and I have had a hard time choosing one because I have many organizations I admire and the majority of them have to do with children, women and immigration issues. I want to mention two of them, very important to me:
ABRIR LA PUERTA is an organization located in Argentina (the country where I was born). They give poor marginal children the proper space and atmosphere so they can play and be children again (something that is many times denied to them). The type of service this program offers might seem simple to you but is very important! Teachers play with the kids, care for them and their families and they manage to return a smile in to the little tiny faces that need it so much. I promise I will tell you more about them because Kiki Art has been playing with them last year and we plan to get you involve in these matters soon, and then you can contribute with Kiki Art by making a difference in this world.
Here are some pictures of the teachers and the children playing and being happy. This is how it should be everyday for them!

Getting "dressed up" for fun
Now, closer to home in Montreal, Canada. This next August I will be riding a bicycle to support the Canadian Society of Multiple Sclerosis. This terrible disease has affected many women. I have already lost a friend to it and I have two very close ones suffering from it right now. But because there is always hope and research is extremely important we need to open a light and smile knowing that things can only get better. Come back to read more about this too, as I will be fund raising for “La Societe canadienne de la sclerose en plaques“ and for my friend who is going to undergo surgery in Poland this next summer and together with our kids we will be bicycling our summer off for her!! (we need to get fit for the big event in August).
The following pictures shows you what lays ahead.

Me, trying to look pretty while avoiding to have an accident and sucking extra-belly in.

My little one... I really don't know what she was doing in this picture but she loved her helmet and wanted to sleep with it that night.
And I haven’t forgotten about the prices!!! For the giveaway in my blog I have three of them. True to my love of diversity each project has a completely different style. I will continue uploading the pictures between today and tomorrow.
- a Handmade Childrend’s story book designed and illustrated by me. – Very Whymsical and “cute” Style
- Decorated Canvas – Free-Artsy Style
It is perfect for a teenage girl’s room with lots of pink and still some more space in the canvas to continue experimenting and adding embellishments to make it personal. The wording in Spanish is and invitation to live life at its fullest, it says: BAILA (Dance) – VIVE LIBRE Y FELIZ (live free and happy) – AMA sin miedos (LOVE without any fear)

- a Small Frame (for boys with lots of blue and green) – Clean and Simple Style
In order to potentially have some of these things , leave me a comment in this post!! And remember to come back after the 4th of May to see who the winners are.
Thank you for stopping by my blog… you still have a lot to see!! All these links have so many ideas, beautiful art work and check them out, I love these girls who have also become my good friends in this wonderful journey I have started since I founded Kiki Art.
